This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). 2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and display name. If you use the app as a guest, we generate an anonymous device identifier.

Recipe Data

When you share a video URL with Sapora, we process the URL to extract recipe information (ingredients, instructions, nutrition). The extracted recipes are stored in your account. We do not store the original video content.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including the number of recipe extractions, feature usage, and app interactions. This helps us improve the Service.

Location Data

With your permission, we may collect your approximate location (postal code) to provide localized grocery deal information. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.

Purchase Information

Subscription and in-app purchase transactions are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Play Store) through RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

  • Authenticate your account and manage your subscription

  • Anthropic (Claude API) — for AI-powered recipe extraction from video content
  • RevenueCat — for managing subscriptions and in-app purchases
  • Cloudflare — for content delivery and security

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing, and JWT-based authentication. Your credentials for biometric login are stored locally on your device using the platform's secure keychain.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and recipes for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (recipes, meal plans, usage history) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your recipe data
  • Withdraw consent for location data collection

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
